Stay the Course 30-Day Group Coaching Program Launches Jan 2 – 31, 2018

Cartoon hands in green, blue, purple, and brown raised in the air.

Raise your hand if it is time to get serious about a lifestyle change to get you away from eating foods that keep you from healing or feeling your best. The Stay the Course 30 Day program starts Jan 2 -31, 2018.

How do you do this?

How on earth do you eat a restricted nutritional profile, free from all those allergens, gluten, and inflammatory foods that impede your healing and prevent you from meeting your health goals?

I’ve been eating strict gluten-free as a person with Celiac Disease, and avoiding not only the top eight allergens or those I’m reactive to, but also all the other food allergies and intolerances I have, while also keeping myself in shape for all the activities I love both indoors and outdoors.  I know it can be done. I know how to eat safely, and how to make that food tasty and fun.

How I eat is usually the second question I receive from most people who find me on the Internet. They are searching for answers just like you. The first question is implied: “What on earth do you eat?” So the second question makes more sense, “How do you eat?”

After answering this question hundreds of times  through speaking engagements, emails, Social Media, and private gatherings, it is time to bring that learning experience to my community in a way  that’s easy to access, well-paced and described, and get a handle on the HOW of staying on course to healing and strengthening  through a food-allergic or special needs lifestyle.

Introducing the Stay the Course 30-Day group coaching program, January 2 – 31, 2018. It’s for people like us who have food allergies and intolerances, Autoimmune Diseases, and Chronic Illnesses that require a medically-necessary diet to maintain optimal health. It’s not a nutrition program; it’s a LIFESTYLE program that supports your health condition.

So if this is you, you’ll want to read this, because it’s going to be all about making food fun again… for YOU. And if you want to sign up, the time is NOW.

Why Group Coaching?

This seemed like a no-brainer. Learning a new lifestyle with new habits is not easy, but it’s a lot easier when you know you’re not alone.

In terms of running it and cost, it’s a lot less time-consuming and less cost to run group coaching programs. I also love individual coaching (it’s part of my training as a licensed counselor to provide some coaching, plus I did course work in coaching to broaden my own skillset), yet it is intensive and therefore requires more time and energy. That also plays into the value of the individual coaching session.

Instead, I built in about six hours of coaching — a combination of four hours of group and two hours of individual coaching — right into the program, making sure that it will be customized for each participant.

Why Thirty Days?

While three months is the minimum time it usually takes to change a behavior for life (i.e. smoking cessation, learning an exercise routine, beginning a practice of meditation or a daily morning walk), thirty days is a reasonable and measurable practice time to signal to the mind and body that a shift in behavior, thinking, and response is happening. It is enough time for the body to recognize subtle as well as larger responses to those changes and note the differences.

For example, some people use the month of January and February to begin New Year’s resolutions around two things: an increase in exercise and abstaining from drinking alcohol. If they quit after one week, the change didn’t “take”. But if they make it through thirty days, they have a set of data to evaluate if they liked how they felt, liked the results, and if anyone noticed (hey, some high-fives are in order)!

In the case of my Stay the Course 30 Day Program, thirty day is usually the minimum recommendation for eliminating a particular food or behavior out of your normal operations to give the body a chance to be rid of whatever has been bugging it.

For example, let’s say that every time you eat a pizza, you don’t feel well, not just afterwards, but for a few days. When you eat spaghetti, same thing. And when you eat a salad, same thing. During the program, you’ll be tracking your foods (not quantity, but ingredients), and let’s say already know  that when you eat pizza without tomato sauce, you feel fine. When you eat spaghetti without tomato sauce, you also feel fine. And when you eat your salad without diced tomatoes… bingo. During the program, you might be discovering more about eating around Nightshades, and seeing if the other nightshades trigger some inflammation in your gut.

Food isn’t the only thing we’ll be learning about, but the entire lifestyle around food. Built into my 30 day program:

  • a virtual grocery shopping visit (by phone, video, and photo) to help you with reading ingredients
  • batch cooking how-to videos, from the kitchen  (yes, real food cooking!)
  • environmental issues: kitchen organizing and  cleaning how to’s; home and body care, stress reduction using non-religious Mindfulness techniques (including video from moi, a 200 hr certified yoga teacher
  • 4 hours group coaching
  • 2 hours individual coaching
  • all information, video links, and emails delivered to your email inbox
  • Q and A time
  • First group only: a Prep’d lunch box with modular storage, a $60 value, yours included in the group coaching program

I’ll be arranging a way for you to watch the video playback on group coaching time if you are unable to make a session.

Where and How Do I Sign Up? How Much Is It?

As the first group is a Beta launch of the program, I have only been advertising it on my Social Media because I wanted about 7-10 people. It is now time lock and load this bad-boy program, which is easy to integrate by having almost everything delivered to your email’s inbox.

Cost: $345.00 USD (includes lunch box and shipping, if you live in the continental United States).  Minus the lunch box, that’s about $10 day, the cost of a modest lunch out at a greasy fast food place (oy, don’t eat that). Some scholarship is available on a case-by-case basis.

You can sign up by reaching out to me via email for this Beta launch. My email is imei dot hsu at gmail dot com. Or use the contact page with this fun blog and reach out to me there. Or, put a comment on this thread, and I’ll pick up your comment in private (has to be approved) and respond to you.

Alternatively, you can reach out via Facebook’s My Allergy Advocate group page.

If you are ready to get serious about making a real change for your health, this is the customizable program you’ve been waiting for.

Happy New Year, and Happy Tummy Days to you!

Note: After January’s program, the group coaching program will be on the new website, with the next group coaching option available around April 2018.
